Bio: Niki Anderson is the author of bestseller, What My Cat Has Taught Me About Life. For 12 years, Niki taught writing classes at Spokane Falls Community College and teaches at Pacific Northwest writer’s conferences. She attended Northwest Nazarene College and Elim Bible Institute.

Her occupations have ranged from wife and mother, bookkeeper, pastor’s secretary, and missionary to East Africa. She speaks at women’s events, retreats, and schools as both teacher and motivator. She leads Bible studies and has taught Sunday school to adults and children.

Her three books, What My Cat Has Taught Me About Life, Inspur-r-rational Stories for Cat Lovers and What I Learned from God While Gardening, earned the International Angel Award, a recognition granted for works that excel in promoting ethical and moral excellence.

Other publication credits include numerous articles, devotions, personality profiles, book contributions and Sunday school material. She is a past member of the National League of American Pen Women.

The quotation on her author biography best describes Niki’s inspiration for writing: "I delight in sharing the truths that have become vital in my own life." A teacher at heart, she writes and speaks to instruct and encourage.

Her pleasures include Myles her orange tabby cat, her two adult children and granddaughter (not in that order!), reading, gardening (rose fancier), praying (it IS a joy), antiques (lifelong collector), teas and teapots (especially fond of High Tea), friends (blessed with the best), and the backseat of her husband’s Harley-Davidson ("Scoot"-name of motorcycle, not husband!)

The subject of balance is Niki’s soapbox topic though she confesses she often totters. "Like you," she says, "I need Jesus every moment of every day!" The following verse from the Gospel of John prompts Niki to keep writing and to persuade others to write. She agrees with John the apostle-"There will never be enough written about our glorious Lord." "There is much else that Jesus did. If it were all to be recorded in detail, I suppose the whole world would not hold the books that would be written." John 21:25
